Created for my Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication, Wholesome Love is a visual poem that celebrates all forms of love, with no hierarchy or judgment, transcending various taboos and discrimination.
Straddling the line between an awareness campaign, short film, and visual poem, the project exists not only as a video but also as an activist-themed Instagram account @wholesomelove_project, where the video is shared as multiple reels.
Beyond being an awareness-raising project, I wanted Wholesome Love to challenge me technically by trying to seamlessly merge motion design with frame-by-frame animation.
"They lived happily ever after and had many children." ...So be it?
Love is our most precious adventure, but its journey is unique for each of us. Through various animated sequences, Wholesome Love explores the infinite range of personal dynamics, preferences and choices that edify our romantic relationships. Taking place as a visual poem, Wholesome Love invites us to celebrate our differences, affirming that every relationship is precious. The poem highlights the validity of all forms of love, without hierarchy or judgement, overcoming all kinds of taboos and discrimination.
Together, let's affirm that every love has its place and its beauty, no matter which path it follows. Some love? Many paths!
